Illustration Friday - Grow

Being this imaginative can only come from a child who could think that if water helps a plant grow so should water make a cookie grow. Cute, Naive and Curious.

I think If I saw a little girl do this I would probably buy her a box of cookies.

Skater

This was such a cool shot that I found in a skate mag so I couldn't resist sketching it. Hopefully I'll get some time to add some colour.

Here's a little fun fact for ya...Skateboarding is now the fastest growing sport.

Cat Lady

I Think we all know someone who will eventually turn out like this, Sadly, I was behind this particular lady who is well on her way to this dashing lifestyle. She had a beetle with paw prints all over it and a sign that read "Crazy for Cats" and a license plate that read Catlover... I wish I was kidding.

Silver Years

I think when I'm older and I get some gray streaks above my ears I'll have to start smoking a pipe. It just looks cool and dapper. Yup, and I'll get some reading specs to look smart and join a yacht club. That's it it's settled... all I need is a yacht.

Boy Hunter

This was a favourite past-time of mine, except I had a pellet gun not a cork gun.

Jungle Book - 40th Anniversary

Wow,

Saw this movie when I was doing my domestic duties in Zehrs and convinced myself to make the purchase. After all it is the 40th anniversary!!!!

I remember watching this movie when I was a child and really taking to the story, but not as much as I have as of recent. The animation is top notch and story is second to none. After watching it like 3 times in a row I browsed over to the special features and found out that Walt Disney had passed away before this movie was finished, he never did get to see "The Jungle Book" on the silver screen, sadly if not for the large success of this film animation would not be where it is today. The execs of Disney were looking to phase out the animation department and focus primarily on the theme park. Thank GOD for the great talents of Frank Thomas, Ollie Johnston, Wolfgang Reitherman and the Great Milt Kahl.

Here are some meager drawing attempts at one of my favourite characters in the film. The Crazy King Louie.

Shere khan drawings to come, as soon as I build up the courage to attempt what is arguably the best villian drawn thus far.
